Access to the Coves and Beaches of Roses – Cap de Creus
Access to the southern area of the Cap de Creus Natural Park is regulated during the summer months. Before setting out, particularly when travelling by car, check the latest information on access conditions, current restrictions and possible temporary closures.

From 1 July to 31 August 2026, access by car to the coves of Cap de Creus Natural Park between Punta Falconera and Cala Jóncols will be restricted every day between 9:30 am and 4:00 pm.
The restriction applies to motorised vehicles with four or more wheels, including cars and vans. The access checkpoint will be located on the Montjoi road, near Mas de la Torre del Sastre.
Outside the restricted hours, access by car will be open. However, vehicles may only be parked in designated parking areas and subject to availability.
During the restricted hours, access will be permitted, among others, to:
- Visitors with a prior reservation at a restaurant, accommodation or activity provider located inside the park, provided that they show proof of the reservation.
- Authorised vehicles and residents or property owners carrying the required documentation.
- Vehicles registered in Roses whose drivers can provide valid proof of payment of the local vehicle tax.
Access on foot, by bicycle and by motorcycle normally remains open. However, the Cap Norfeu trail may only be used on foot, and visitors must remain on the marked paths.
There is no dedicated public transport service to the coves during the restricted hours. Alternatives include taxis from Roses, the tourist train and boat excursions.
